The Cheekiest Nudist Hotels In The UK
If you want to get away from it all and enjoy being in the altogether then it’s time to book yourself into one of the UK’s nudist hotspots. There are options for literally every region in the (mainland) UK. Here’s a list of the best of them.
This cosy B&B is just outside Hastings. The 1066 Country Walk is literally right at the doorstep and the stunning nudist beach at Fairlight Glen is only 2 miles away. Alternatively, make yourself at home and enjoy the secluded garden with sun loungers and a hot tub.
These are both in the Forest of Dean near the border with Wales. They’re run by the same people and have much the same attractions. You get cosy privacy indoors, a garden and hot tub outdoors and some of the best countryside in the UK all around you.
Tucked into the glorious Devon countryside, Acorns Naturist Retreat offers B&B accommodation along with mobile homes and sites for caravans, camper vans and tents. On-site, there’s a hot tub, swimming pool and sauna as well as a games room and exercise area.
EdenGarden is technically in London but is also literally right next to Epping Forest. It is mainly known as a spa and it’s definitely worth having a treatment there if you’re around London. They also have a small selection of individually decorated, luxury guest rooms.
Silverleigh is actually in Swanley but that’s only half an hour from Victoria. It has some of the best facilities in the UK. There’s an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room plus gardens for sunbathing al fresco. It also runs some outstanding entertainment.
Croft Country Club is in Wisbech. It has two log cabins, one glamping tent and 60 regular pitches for caravans, campers and tents. The main attraction is the 18-hole golf course. There are also lots of other sporty options as well as two swimming pools and a sauna suite. The clubhouse is the social centre and hosts regular events.
Lakeside Naturist Holiday Resort is near Spilsby. It offers cabins, studios and static caravans as well as pitches for regular caravans, campers and tents. Pretty much anywhere you stay will have amazing views over the local countryside. The clubhouse is the main social base, other facilities include a hot tub, steam room and sauna.
Clover Spa & Hotel is hidden in the heart of Birmingham. It’s mainly a spa but also has several rooms available at different price points from “cosy” to “luxurious”. Use of the spa facilities is included in the room price. Alternatively, you can hit the streets of Birmingham (but maybe don't do that in your birthday suit)!
The White Rose Club is in Flaxton, just outside York. It’s been around since 1944 and is essentially a good, old-fashioned nudist campsite but with great facilities. If you’d like to visit the site but camping isn’t your thing, try staying at Clementine's Town House Hotel and going as a day visitor.
The Solway Sun Club is located just outside Carlisle. It’s been around since 1955 and is essentially another old-fashioned nudist campsite. The main draw is the atmosphere and the local nature. There are a couple of static caravans for rent but for the most part, it’s fairly basic camping. If that’s not your thing, try staying at the Abbey Court and going as a day visitor.
Liverpool Sun and Air is actually based in Whiston. It’s relatively new but the facilities are fairly basic. There’s no on-site accommodation and only 10 places for caravans so it’s really a campsite. If you're into camping, it’s clean, safe and friendly and a great place to stay. If you’re not, try The Baltic Hotel and stop by the park as a day visitor.
Meadow View & Cefn-nant is based in Powys. It has three cabins with private space on the farm, a hot tub and an infrared sauna. You also have access to a well-equipped games room. You’re welcome to wander around the farm in between exploring some of the best countryside in Wales.
The Scottish Outdoor Club is possibly the UK’s most unusual nudist location. It’s located on the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. To ensure everyone gets peace, quiet and privacy, however, it’s on an island. Visitors go out to it on a Friday evening and head back on a Sunday evening. While you’re there, you can stay in a chalet or pitch a tent. Through the season, there’s skinny dipping, a sauna and some amazing countryside to explore. Additionally, each weekend has its own theme, ranging from life drawing to bramble jelly.
Be Natural B&B is in Glasserton on the SouthWest coast of Scotland. It’s tiny but mighty. The hosts are nudists themselves so there’s always a relaxed, sociable atmosphere. On-site, there’s a (mostly) private garden with a hot tub. Off-site, there is some breathtaking coastal scenery plus the option of heading onwards to Edinburgh or even Glasgow.
This is the cheekiest option in a cheeky list. NI has no official nudist accommodation options but it does have a nudist scene you can check out. The Portrush Strand is popular with the local crowd and the Adelphi Portrush is one of the best and friendliest hotels in the area.
So wherever you want to go in the UK (almost), there’s a place you can enjoy stripping off and being at one with nature. What’s more, while some of these places are destinations in their own right, they all have plenty to enjoy in the local area. Options range from remote beaches to the best of big-city life.
